Treat yourself to some of our merchandise

Faith is a continuing restoration project.

All proceeds from our merchandise sails contribute directly to her restoration fund.

The Fiordland Historic Cruises restoration project will forever continue. We take extreme pride in the response we receive from returning guests when they observe the new work undertaken. Because restoration work must fit around cruises, guests often get to see the original teak timber exposed without oil in between the sanding and oiling processes. It’s part of the beauty of the journey with Faith, a hands on opportunity for people to see what goes on behind the scenes to maintain a vessel who is coming up 90 years old.

As a requirement from Maritime New Zealand, any commercial vessel must undergo a survey. This ensures that the vessel is up to the standard of carrying paying passengers or being used in a commercial way (fishing vessels for example must also carry out a survey). There are day to day requirements that need to be carried out by the skipper on duty that day, and this restoration is frequently noticed by returning guests.

Our merchandise line has been designed by our team with our guests in mind.  Many of you have asked how you can help towards the restoration of our beautiful Faith. Your purchase will help to continue her legacy.
All products can be pre ordered or purchased from us when you board or at the conclusion of your sailing.

“The intriguing story of “Faith,” a motor yacht built in 1935 in Tarbert, Scotland. Her story is one of epic proportions, including a voyage from Schotland to New Zealand. Through various owners, Faith eventually finds herself at home in Fiordland surrounded by mountain ranges, freshwater fiords on Lake Te Anau – the home of the Takahe, evergreen forests and majestic beauty. Faith is currently hosting tourists with Fiordland Historic Cruises, where guests have the opportunity to share in her history and explore the wilderness. “
