Rain, hail, sail! ⛵️
We’re now two weeks back into sailings, and what an amazing start to the season we’ve had!
Rain? Yes, we’ve had it.
Hail? Well… it rhymes!
And sail? We’ve certainly had some amazing sailing days, reaching speeds of up to 3.7 knots! Sadly, on the day we reached 3.7 knots, we were far too busy enjoying the sailing to film it, so we only have 2.7 knots on record! 😂
We’ve loved sharing our backyard with so many groups and individual bookings from all over New Zealand and around the world — including school groups, a couple celebrating their honeymoon, and a family from Australia whose children, of course, absolutely loved the bagpipes! 🎶
Faith has been safely tucked up on her mooring every night, especially important with our typically high September lake levels. You’ll also see some amazing footage captured by our diver, who recently checked our mooring lines.
This is an essential part of our operation to ensure Faith remains safely secured and doesn’t end up taking an unexpected trip to Steamer Beach!
Bookings for this season are already well ahead of where our advanced bookings were at this time last year, particularly when it comes to charters. So, if you’ve been thinking about a private charter, please reach out soon — spaces are quickly becoming limited.
And, as always, thank you for supporting us and following along on this journey.
Adam is currently working through his hours of footage to match the hours of restoration work he put in, so our gallery restoration video will be coming soon!
For now, see you soon,
Megan & Adam ⛵️
