Week in Review – Episode 24

With school holidays upon us, it’s been fabulous to welcome so many kids on board with us, as well as having Jodi join us for a couple of cruises. We love having the kids involved in all that we do, and we’ve really enjoyed the wonderful feedback from their parents and caregivers too.

It’s also been the week of the TUFF – Te Anau Ukulele Festival, which brought the town alive with music. We headed along to the Kea Café to enjoy a session before sailing our first evening cruise of the season. We were also joined by a group from Auckland who had spent some time docked alongside Faith. It’s amazing how she continues to bring stories and connections to us.

A huge thank you to all the amazing agents who came out with us for our agent famil. It was such a fantastic opportunity to share our special vessel and experience with you all, and we look forward to welcoming your guests on board with us this season.

A big thank you also to Ivan, who circled us in RPT, the acrobatic aircraft. And if you’re ever in town and spot a white plane with smoke trailing behind it, don’t worry — it’s not on fire! It’s simply Ivan Krippner, the acrobatic pilot, putting on a display.

With the weather still a little inclement at times, we continue to manoeuvre Faith between her wharf and mooring each day to keep her safe. The kids have been quick to lend a hand with this task too — although we’re wondering if anyone noticed their rowing technique! 😂

We were also visited by our resident Crested Grebe and enjoyed watching him swim alongside Faith as we came into dock at Hidden Lakes.

Our first evening cruise of the season was finished off with the most amazing sunset, bringing everyone out to enjoy the spectacle.

What an epic week! 🌅💙
