Week in review – Episode 12

Oh we’ve kept you waiting, here it is, this week’s week in review, actually again it’s a fortnight in review as it’s been kinda busy with school holidays and many families travelling. It’s been super special to share our gorgeous Faith with so many kids, (including a special 5 year olds birthday who “just wanted to go on beautiful Faith”). Treating the kids to a true hands on experience brings us so much joy and seeing the joy on their faces when they’re on the wheel or hoisting the sails is truly special.

We’ve also welcomed the first snow to the mountain tops, and boy are they looking beautiful! We’ve had a surprise proposal onboard this week, complete with a bunch of flowers from the team at Fiordland Nursery’s delivered to us the day before in the special lady’s favourite colours!

I don’t know about you but Autumn is my favourite time of the year, with cooler but calmer days, magic colours, snow topped mountains and fungi!

If you’re a fan of fungi, now is the time to visit the hidden lakes because they are everywhere!  Did you know that New Zealand has over 500 species of fungi, but only just a handful that are edible?

I often joke that there’s nothing to get you in the bush, unless you eat the fungi! We’ve been treated to gorgeous misty mornings in the bush, and sometimes you can hear the deer roaring!

Keep watching right to the end of this little review for the best part, where we are treated to the first look at a super special model that is being created by Phil one of our locals and a true wooden boat enthusiast, honestly when I first saw the photos it brought tears to my eyes, he has truly mastered the essence of Faith and we can’t wait to see this model come to life! Thank you for also capturing this video for us to share!

From both Adam and myself, thanks for helping us keep Faith going and we hope to see you soon!
